From nothing to something to everything…!

From nothing to something to everything…!

Hello! I am Sagar Sandeep Shedge, seven-time National champion of Rollball game.

I have always been good at sports and always wanted to play some sport at the professional level. During the summer-camp at school, one of my friends informed me that he had joined a sport called ROLLBALL.I had no idea what this sport really was, so one evening I went to school to see this sport with my friend and I was amazed by seeing how one can skate and at the same time tribble the ball then shooting it in goalpost.

This sport caught my attention, as it really needed a lot of accuracy, speed, and coordination. So, I also joined the summer camp, and it went really well, and soon I joined the coaching staff under Mr. Anand Patekar, sir. He helped me a lot to learn the skills and work on my fitness. sir. He helped me a lot to learn the skills and work on my fitness.

Soon after the summer camp, I was given the opportunity to play for the Under-14 team in the District Championship, but due to new age group rules, I was unable to do so and was forced to play for the Under-17 team. I was too tense as I began practicing with my senior players, and I was also concerned about matching their speed and skills. But playing with senior players really helps me know the game better and also helps me know my strong and weak points. I used to believe that whether I played or not, the only way for me to succeed was to give my all and establish a standard that, rather than being a junior on the team, I could play at the same level as the seniors.

I started to work on my weak points, which led to my selection in the Under-17 State Championship. With excellent performances, we won the title. Next year, due to my outstanding performance, I got selected for the Maharashtra State Team. After that, there was no way to look back. Then I was named captain of the Maharashtra State Team, and we defeated Assam 12-0 in the finals, scoring five goals.

I won seven national championships in a row and will soon be representing Team India. Playing sports from a very young age has helped me in life in every aspect and has also boosted my professional career as it taught me the importance of dedication, self-discipline, and responsibility.

I would like to thank my parents, teammates, and coaches for their support throughout this journey.
